Rosanne’s 19 Years of Memories

Happy Spring.

Where have the past almost 19 years gone? I have a couple minutes to myself and I was asked to go through and find some pictures of the last 19 year. I found so many of many wonderful people in my life. I was reflecting on all these pictures and memories. One thing I will ask, WOW, how many shades has my hair been in 19 years? I have been blessed with so many wonderful people in my life, true friends I will hold in my heart forever. We have shared engagements, wedding, new houses and babies. Sadly, we have lost some amazing people that have touched our lives.

We have done so much. I am very proud of the support Lisa and I provided to then Excela Health now Independence Health System with getting vaccines out in the community. Lisa, Chamber Volunteers and I worked open to close from 7AM– 8PM Monday – Friday, for weeks, at the clinic to help expedite the distribution of the vaccines. We are so glad that is behind us.

As a group and with the Norwin Rotary in 2017, we were able to save Light Up Night, now Light Up Norwin. I am so very proud of everyone working together to keep that great event thriving. The community worked together with the Norwin Lions to collect plastic and turn them into benches in the community. We brought the Norwin Community Picnic back to the community. This is a great way to showcase our beautiful park and local businesses. I feel keeping the picnic going for 93 years is another a huge achievement, especially through Covid. This could never have been done without the support of our community partners.

We also developed the auto renewal program to keep membership at just $20 a month. We hold blood drives once a quarter. We opened the large meeting room to many
nonprofits to hold their meetings at the Norwin Chamber Office.

I am so very proud of the friendships and partnerships developed over the years. Thank you for all your support. I wish you all the best. I know you are in the best capable hands with Lisa and Marina at the helm of the Norwin Chamber of Commerce. The Byzantine Catholic Church has a saying, May God Grant You Many Years in Peace, Health and Happiness. I pray that for all of us.
