We would have marked the Norwin Chamber of Commerce’s 88th Annual Norwin Community Picnic at Idlewild Park & SoakZone. This year on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, we will celebrate the 88 years online. Because of social distancing practices and the uncertainty of when Idlewild Park will open, we would still like to offer the memories that are created during the Annual Picnic. As tradition continues, the Norwin Public Library will hold a Virtual Story Time at 11:00AM just like at Storybook Forest. At 2:00PM, a game organized by the Norwin Public Library will begin. We will wrap up the day, just like we do every year, with a Virtual Prize Drawing at 4:00PM. You will be able to complete and drop off your entry tickets at participating businesses by Thursday, July 30, 2020.
“We are excited to be able to offer a twist to this classic tradition. We ask you to spend the day as a family. If it is nice, enjoy the outdoors. If is rainy, toss a quilt over the dining room table, build a fort and enjoy each other with a game or puzzle. Just be together. Please join us at 4:00PM for our traditional prize drawing and remember, NEXT YEAR, Wednesday, August 4, 2021, we will all meet back at Idlewild & SoakZone. “
